The Legendary Band originated at an open mic at The Grand Marquis in Olney, Maryland in 1992. The Legendary Band was given its name by radio personality Damian Einstein when he played T.V. John's first album Dream Songs on 99.1 FM WHFS Radio in Landover, Maryland. T.V. John's first album was produced by studio musicians, while the next nine albums were performed by The Legendary Band. The Band's record labels have been Silver Porpoise Records and now Maxern Records. Distribution is provided by Joe's Record Paradise in Rockville, Maryland and internationally by http://www.NutMusic.com. Based in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area, The Legendary Band has performed in dozens of locations as far north as Baltimore's Inner Harbor and as far south as the Outer Banks in North Carolina. The Legendary Band has been the official house band at The Lone Star Grill, The Tex Mex Grill, Club Heaven's Green Island Cafe, Big Bubba's BBQ, Angelo's and Terra e Mar. The Legendary Band has made many television appearances, including on The T.V. John Show. The Band's format is all-original light rock, rockabilly, country, easy-listening, novelty and comedy. |
